The Wall Street mogul was encouraged to participate in an Investment Competition run by the Templeton Foundation. He started out with a $50 million investment. Despite the fact that Paul invested during the 2008 and 2009 financial crisis, his investment generated a great return as it grew to $88 million. In 2008, Mr. Mampilly invested in Netflix and made great returns before he quit the industry. Paul invested in a drug company that was developing a cure for muscular dystrophy in 2012.
Paul decided to quit Wall Street to spend more time with his family. He discovered that Wall Street only helps the ultra rich people, which comprised a small percentage of the American population. Paul wanted to help more people make more returns on their investments. He joined the newsletters publishing business and established two newsletters, Extreme Fortunes and Profits Unlimited to help more people.
